Mps Plancius

The Plancius was built in 1976 as an oceanographic research vessel for the Royal Netherlands Navy and was named Hr. Ms. Tydeman.

In 2009, the ship was completely converted into an expedition passenger ship. As a result, the Plancius is not a traditional cruise ship: the emphasis is on an active and educational expedition program.

The ship can accommodate 108 passengers and 49 crew members. The interior is comfortable, inviting, and practically designed.

Since the trips focus primarily on the expeditions and activities on land, the ship offers everything needed for a pleasant and relaxing stay on board.

This was a special project for us. It’s wonderful to contribute to an expedition ship that sails the world’s oceans under the Dutch flag. We are therefore extremely proud of our contribution to the Plancius.
