Previously we realized the complete interior of Oranje Nassau V and Oranje Nassau VI. Now it was Mts. Meringen’s turn.
It is Mercurius Shipping Group’s first tanker and immediately one of the largest stainless steel inland tankers in Europe. The vessel is equipped with stainless steel tanks to safely transport heavy chemical cargo.
From the outside, the Meringen must above all be practical and hard-wearing. But step inside, and you will discover an interior with tranquility, warmth and a surprisingly chic look.
Herringbone flooring, wood slatted walls, soft fabrics and natural materials such as ceramics and natural stone give both the living quarters and wheelhouse an almost hotel-like atmosphere.
It’s one of those interiors that you secretly get a little jealous of and would prefer to have at home yourself.
Fun fact: see the red light in the wheelhouse? This is not only atmospheric, but also functional. It helps the skipper maintain night vision while keeping navigation instruments clearly visible.
