“Training apprentices and helping them advance in their careers.” That was my answer to the question of what I wanted to do at Hoogendoorn.
I’ve been working at Hoogendoorn for 6 years now, and for the past 3 years, as a hands-on trainer, I’ve had the privilege of guiding new professionals on their path to the future. The best part of this job is seeing people grow and develop. That brings its own rewarding challenges and makes every day different.
With our in-house training program, we have something truly special. Here, students have the opportunity to develop into true professionals.
One project that will always stay with me is AFAS. Together with the apprentices, we had the opportunity to build beautiful furniture and counters there. It was a wonderful project from which we learned a lot and on which we look back with pride.
My biggest challenge at Hoogendoorn? Making sure that people who are new to the trade eventually leave our training program as true professionals.
