Hendrik-Jan Visser

I work at Hoogendoorn since 2001 and still do it with great pleasure. We work with a driven and fun team.

In field service, it’s never boring. You get to visit so many different locations where the work and challenges are different every time.

In my career, I have specialized in yacht interiors. I am currently working on a 36-meter yacht. It is incredibly cool to create the interiors of luxury yachts.

Yet my most remembered project is not a yacht. It concerns the realization of City Hall Almelo. It was my biggest work-related challenge. It was a large and beautiful project and I learned a lot from it and was able to expand my work experience enormously on site. For this project I went to work for six months which also brought challenges privately because my wife took care of the 2-year-old twins at home alone during the week.

It was intense but in the end it all came together and I got to take this experience back to subsequent projects.
